McDonald's Is Getting Another Pokemon TCG Collab, But Only In Japan
Briefly

From August 9 to August 11, McDonald's Japan will offer an exclusive Pikachu card with a hamburger theme in Happy Meals. Each Happy Meal will also include one of five random reprint promo cards: Sprigatito, Fuecoco, Quaxly, Ralts, or Riolu, all featuring a McDonald's logo. The collaboration is brief, ending on August 11, which may attract collectors and scalpers despite the limited appeal of the Pikachu card. Teasers included silhouettes of other characters, but only Pikachu is featured in this set.
Starting August 9, McDonald's Japan will be giving out an exclusive Pikachu card with art depicting the little yellow guy about to chow down on a hamburger.
The Pikachu card will be included in each Happy Meal, along with one of five random second promo cards of either Sprigatito, Fuecoco, Quaxly, Ralts, or Riolu.
The collaboration will be short-lived, however, as the cards will only be distributed until August 11.
It remains to be seen if this will bring scalpers out to McDonald's locations in droves, especially given that the Pikachu isn't a highly desirable full-art card.
