""I think what we really tried to do in the beginning was offer authentic or, as authentic as we could cook it, Chinese cuisine. We wanted good music and good service and good cocktails, but we wanted to marry that," Young said."

Kings Co Imperial serves Chinese dishes in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, with a second location on Manhattan's Lower East Side. Josh Grinker is chef and co-owner; Tracy Jane Young is co-owner. They drew on Asian and wok cooking training to shape the menu and overall concept. The restaurant emphasizes as-authentic-as-possible Chinese cuisine while pairing food with music, attentive service, and cocktails. The Williamsburg space expanded from a small footprint to include a backyard for outdoor dining, a small private dining room, and a larger room called the Imperial Room. The menu centers on signature wok-cooked dishes and specialty cocktails.
