"If you're hungry or coming with a friend, order the falafel plate special ($12). It is one of the best value meals in town. The hearty dish comes with five pieces of crispy, hot falafel, on herb basmati rice with a sidecar of dill sauce. A small Shepherd's Salad arrives on the side, a mix of romaine lettuce, dates, goat cheese, pecans, and roasted corn tossed in a honey-Dijon vinaigrette."
"The Arab Swag tacos ($4.50 for a single order, $14 for the meal) are a medley of Mexican and Levantine flavors. The chicken shawarma arrives piping hot, topped with a sumac pico de gallo, roasted jalapeño corn salsa, nutty chile salsa, and a spicy tahini on a buttered, toasted corn tortilla. Homemade herb basmati rice, a harissa hot sauce and lime wedge come on the side. Groups - the portions are hefty so bring a friend to share a plate or two with."
Cedars Mediterranean Kitchen opened in 1992 in a strip mall and was founded by Sudki Abdullah. Amer Abdullah took over after Sudki's death in 2019 and reinvented the restaurant in 2022 with greater emphasis on Palestinian roots. The restaurant hosts food sales and pop-up comedy shows that benefit Gaza humanitarian relief. The kitchen serves hearty, value-driven dishes including a falafel plate special with five falafel, herb basmati rice, dill sauce, Shepherd's Salad, Sudki-style hummus, and lentil soup. Other menu highlights include glazed chicken wings with sweet-spicy harissa and Arab Swag tacos blending Mexican and Levantine flavors. Portions are hefty and daily specials rotate.
