"The venue derives its name from 'Mmogo', the Sotho word for 'together', highlighting its soul as a gathering place for shared moments."
"MOGO's design infuses industrial finishes with retro Japanese influences, creating a unique atmosphere focused on community and analog intimacy."
MOGO is a new bar and dining venue in Milan's Isola district, designed by Giorgia Longoni Studio. Inspired by postwar Japanese Jazz Kissa cafes, it features a handcrafted sound station that encourages togetherness. The interior design incorporates industrial and tactile finishes, with a color scheme of terracotta and aquamarine referencing both nature and Japanese aesthetics. The bar, named after the Sotho word for 'together', serves as a social hub for enjoying food, cocktails, and music, while also providing intimate relaxation spaces for guests.
