Family Harvest is organizing a food giveaway program on Aug. 27 at Columbia Middle School, offering approximately 100 lbs. of food to participating families. Families are encouraged to bring reusable bags and carts for bulk items. All families are welcome, with no prior appointments necessary. Meanwhile, the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety will conduct a sobriety checkpoint on Sept. 12 to encourage safe driving practices. Additionally, Assemblymember Patrick Ahrens received the Gordon N. Chan Leadership Award from AACI for his dedication to underserved communities.
