Denny's closes another restaurant in Central NY
"Another Denny's restaurant in Central New York has closed its doors for good. The Denny's Diner in Herkimer, N.Y., shut down after its last day of business Sunday, according to cnynews.com. An employee told the Townsquare Media publication that the closure is permanent. Denny's did not announce the closing in advance or offer an explanation why. There was no answer at the Herkimer location's phone number Monday, but the company website now lists the restaurant at 701 Mohawk St. as "Closed.""
"Denny's, which has more than 1,200 locations nationwide, has undergone multiple changes recently. The brand went private last month in a $620 million buyout by a group that including TriArtisan Capital Advisors, Treville Capital Group and Denny's franchisee Yadav Enterprises. Denny's CEO Kelli Valade revealed days later that she is leaving the company for a new job as president and CEO of WFF (Women's Foodservice Forum), a non-profit organization dedicated to developing and advancing female leaders in the restaurant industry."
