"PIZZA SAUCE 1 can tomato sauce (8 oz.) 1 can tomato paste (6 oz.) 1 - 1 1/2 teaspoons dried oregano 1 teaspoon parsley flakes 1/2 - 3/4 teaspoons dried basil 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder 1/8 teaspoon crushed red pepper PIZZA CRUST 1 package quick-rise yeast 1/4 teaspoon sugar 1/2 cup warm water (110*-115* F) 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour 1 1/2 teaspoons salt 3/4 cup water 3 tablespoons oil"
"Dissolve yeast and 1/4 teaspoon sugar in warm water. Set aside for 5 minutes. In a food processor container with a dough blade add flour and salt. Pour the yeast mixture into the flour mixture. Heat water and oil to 110 -115 F. Pour it into the flour mixture. Once a dough ball forms, process for 60 seconds until the dough cleans the sides of the container."
Dough is prepared with quick-rise yeast dissolved with sugar in warm water, mixed with flour, salt, warm water and oil, processed until it cleans the container, rested, and rolled to fit a 14-inch deep-dish pan or two 12-inch pizzas. Sauce combines tomato sauce and tomato paste with oregano, parsley, basil, salt, garlic powder, and crushed red pepper, simmered 10–15 minutes. Toppings include lightly browned pork sausage, mushrooms, diced green peppers, chopped onion, and mozzarella cheese. Assemble by spreading sauce over the crust, layering sausage and vegetables, topping with cheese, and baking at 425°F until done.
