Capital One Is Opening a New Chef-Curated Lounge at LaGuardia Airport-and It's Designed by Jose Andres
"We have a kitchen that we make things from scratch in the airport. You order garlic shrimp... they are not pre-made somewhere, they're cooked in the kitchen before you eat them. And you order your steak, and it's coming medium rare, and it's been cooked before you eat it,"
"from my restaurant in D.C. to my restaurant in New York and from one restaurant to the other, in between, I can feed you in every step of the way. And that feels very cool for me."
"That almost reminds me of the first time I arrived in New York when... I came by boat,"
"And for me, so many years later... [I have] a home where I'm bringing part of Spain, but I celebrate America too."
Capital One Landing at LaGuardia Airport occupies more than 12,000 square feet in Terminal B and opens next week. The concept combines lounge amenities with full sit-down restaurant service, offering signature made-to-order Spanish tapas along with grab-and-go options. The on-site kitchen prepares dishes from scratch, cooking items such as garlic shrimp and steaks to order. The location is the second Capital One Landing following the Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport site. The interior features 30-foot ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows with expansive views of the tarmac and the New York City skyline. The menu reflects Spanish roots while celebrating American influences.
