An Instagram post signed by Emeril Lagasse described the closure as a "difficult decision" and called Coastal a "true labor of love," without stating specific reasons. The location held a 4-star Google rating from over 1,400 reviews, though recent reviews reported declining quality and service. Emeril Lagasse has opened over 20 restaurants across the U.S.; Coastal was one of five remaining.
