"Amy's Drive-Thru in Rohnert Park - the company's first-ever such restaurant that opened in 2015 - announced Wednesday it will close after its last service on March 8. "Amy's Drive Thru has been part of everyday life in Sonoma County for more than 10 years, and we've now made the difficult decision to close our Rohnert Park location," Paul Schiefer, president of Amy's Kitchen, said in the press release."
"The decision comes "during a challenging period for restaurants nationwide," the company stated. It is currently looking at options for a new tenant for the Rohnert Park facility, located at 58 Golf Course Drive West. The Rohnert Park location marks the final closure of the company's four drive-thru restaurants, all in California. Amy's also has a restaurant at San Francisco International Airport in Terminal 1, which will remain open, the company confirmed."
Amy's Drive-Thru in Rohnert Park, the company's first such location opened in 2015, will close after its last service on March 8. The company cited a challenging period for restaurants nationwide and is seeking a new tenant for the site at 58 Golf Course Drive West. The Rohnert Park closure completes the shutdown of all four California drive-thru restaurants; an airport location at San Francisco International Airport Terminal 1 will remain open. Earlier closures included Corte Madera in August and Roseville and Thousand Oaks in February 2024. Amy's will concentrate on manufacturing and selling its more than 260 mostly organic retail products, and corporate headquarters operations in Petaluma remain unaffected. Paul Schiefer expressed gratitude to the teams and supporters, calling the chapter defined by innovation and connection while describing the closure as bittersweet.
