Manifest 002 opened in Union Market on September 30, occupying an 11,000-square-foot space with a barbershop, café, cocktail bar, retail boutique, and remote-work areas. The centerpiece restaurant, (h)ours, is led by Maketto chef Erik Bruner-Yang and features dishes influenced by DC culture, including a white Bolognese inspired by Ethiopian spaghetti, whole fried lobster with aioli, oysters with kiwi mignonette, chicken and dumplings with pickled okra, and buttermilk-fried plantains. Desserts include chocolate cake with miso caramel and coconut profiteroles. Cocktails such as the gin-based "Go-Go Nights" and rum punch "Backyard Cookout" complement the menu. Tiered monthly memberships offer credits, discounts, priority reservations, and speakeasy access.
