A New Irish Pub (With Spice Bags) Has Opened in Clapton
"The site on the corner of Clarence Road and Downs Road in Clapton has been home to several pubs in its history, including the Mermaid and the Cricketers (with an interlude as cheese and charcuterie spot Verden in between those two), and now it's under new ownership again. Irish pub Moylett's opened just before Christmas, with Guinness and craft beer on at the bar and a great atmosphere (it's dog friendly too)."
"Now that the pub has had a few weeks to get up and running, it's starting to put on events. As well as the Six Nations on the telly, Moylett's is also hosting a chess club, music events (Jamie Rodigan and And What are doing a single release at the pub), and a spice bag pop-up from Irish Shpice. With late closing on Fridays and Saturdays too, this sounds like a great new local for all you E5 peeps."
