"The new year is already off to a great start when it comes to restaurant openings and fresh updates in Greater Boston's dining scene. In the months ahead, we have major restaurant openings from Michelin chefs and famous New York restaurateurs, as well as a swell of diverse and delicious smaller restaurants joining our neighborhoods. Each week, Boston.com will highlight the restaurant openings worth knowing about across the region."
"Opening date: February 2026 Just a short distance from its two other locations, Cafe Luna and Little Luna, the Kendall Square neighborhood is getting another Cafe Luna, but bigger. The cafe will be able to seat 80 diners inside and 40 outside on their seasonal patio. And while its all-day-breakfast menu of omelets and Belgian waffles will remain, the owners told What Now Boston they will eventually add dinner entrees to the menu."
Greater Boston's dining scene is expanding with major upcoming openings from Michelin chefs and well-known New York restaurateurs alongside many new neighborhood restaurants. Weekly regional highlights will track openings that are already active and those scheduled to debut in 2026. At least one featured item each week will be a bonus such as a pop-up, collaboration, or special event at area restaurants. Specific entries include a larger Cafe Luna in Kendall Square with expanded indoor and outdoor seating and plans to add dinner, and new breakfast-focused locations and bakery expansions opening now in Back Bay and Mission Hill.
