"LOS ANGELES -- The American Film Institute (AFI) announced Wednesday that the world premiere of "Song Sung Blue" will close the festival on Sunday, October 26. "Song Sung Blue" stars Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson as down-on-their-luck musicians who form a New Diamond tribute band, proving it's never too late to find love and follow your dreams. Based on a true story, the film also features Michael Imperioli, Ella Anderson, King Princess, Mustafa Shakir, Hudson Hensley, with Fisher Stevens and Jim Belushi."

AFI FEST will close with the world premiere of "Song Sung Blue" on Sunday, October 26. Song Sung Blue stars Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson as down-on-their-luck musicians who form a New Diamond tribute band and pursue love and renewed purpose. The film is based on a true story and features Michael Imperioli, Ella Anderson, King Princess, Mustafa Shakir, Hudson Hensley, Fisher Stevens and Jim Belushi. The festival runs October 22–26 at the TCL Chinese Theatres in Hollywood in its 39th year. The festival opens with Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere starring Jeremy Allen White, with Guillermo del Toro as Guest Artistic Director. The full lineup is scheduled for September 30, passes and ticket dates are provided, and ABC7 and On The Red Carpet serve as broadcast partners.
