Andor Season 2 leads directly into Rogue One, featuring key characters that bridge the narrative gap. However, not all fan-favorite characters appear, such as Jyn Erso, as showrunner Tony Gilroy prioritized narrative integrity over fan service. He emphasized that characters who are not absolutely necessary should not be included, as it would be disrespectful to the original film. While Bodhi Rook's appearance was briefly considered, Gilroy chose not to include him to maintain the storyline's focus. Riz Ahmed expressed interest in a standalone film featuring Bodhi.

Of all the members of Rogue One, Bodhi served as an Imperial pilot, only defecting a few days before the events of the film.
Ahmed himself, Gilroy even considered it briefly - but he ultimately changed his mind to keep Andor's final season as straightforward as possible.
No room for Ahmed in Andor Season 2, but he's still down for a standalone Bodhi Rook movie.
