Marty's selfish mentality repeatedly undermines his ambitions while a dominant new Japanese player, Koto Endoa, threatens his path. Marty scrambles to raise money to compete at the World Championships in Tokyo and defeat his rival. The film stars Timothee Chalamet and features Gwyneth Paltrow, Tyler Okama, Odessa A'zion, Kevin O'Leary, Fran Drescher, Abel Ferrara, real-life player Koto Kawaguchi, and cameos from Kemba Walker and Tracy McGrady. Marty Supreme is Josh Safdie's first solo film after co-directing Uncut Gems.
