Pedro Pascal and his pint-sized companion bring the Mandalorian and Grogu from streaming to theaters for a new adventure over Memorial Day weekend. Pascal, a lifelong Star Wars fan, described taking the role as an easy decision. The film follows the Mandalorian and his young apprentice as they move from three seasons to the big screen on a mission to rescue the son of Jabba the Hutt. The rescue proves more dangerous than expected. Pascal connected personally to the franchise through early movie memories, including Star Wars re-releases and Return of the Jedi. He said the film aims to recreate that sense of wonder for both longtime fans and newcomers, crediting Jon Favreau for enhancing the experience.
