The movie going experience is never returning to the pre-covid normal. The pandemic supercharged the transition; there's little to suggest audiences will return en masse.
Films that were once for a small specialized audience are now available to anyone with a decent internet connection, thanks to streaming and film festivals adapting.
Other than a BFI Southbank screening of The Golden Voyage of Sinbad, I only went to the movies once this year, highlighting shifts in viewing habits.
