You can tell director Tim Burton had 'The Nightmare Before Christmas' on his mind while making his second Batman film. During the holidays in Gotham, Batman (Michael Keaton) has to combat a violent gangster nicknamed the Penguin (Danny Devito) running for public office as well as the mysterious Catwoman (Michelle Pfeiffer). The movie is full of Christmas settings as well as all the circus-themed violence anyone could possibly want. This is easily the best Christmas superhero film ever made.

Geena Davis stars as an amnesiac schoolteacher who discovers she was once the CIA's top assassin. When her old life comes back to threaten her new one, she and a hapless private investigator (Samuel L. Jackson) team up to uncover the mystery. The film is peak 1990s action with a holiday setting, and Davis and Jackson make for an unforgettable dynamic duo.
