Noah Hawley developed a separate near-greenlit Star Trek concept that reached advanced stages of consideration. Hawley reported recent contact with David Ellison and expressed ongoing interest in making a Star Trek movie. Hawley’s unmade project would have incorporated androids, including an unboxing of Data and an emphasis on android themes that align with recent Star Trek storytelling involving synthetic characters.
