Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Jason Sterman directed the documentary and served as a producer. The film showcases how Japan's culture, craft and devotion to baseball shaped the sport and focuses on places where the game lives, from workshops to local fields and homes. Five Japanese-born MLB stars returned home to open the 2025 season, and MLB views the film as a way to demonstrate baseball's growing global reach.
