Pink Floyd to release 4K remaster of Live At Pompeii in theaters and IMAX
Briefly

A 4K remaster of Pink Floyd's iconic concert film, 'Live At Pompeii,' is set for release in theaters and IMAX on April 24th. This restoration is a meticulous frame-by-frame renewal from the original 35mm negative found in Pink Floyd's archives. The reissue includes a full 90-minute cut, integrating a 60-minute performance with accompanying documentary segments. Enhanced audio mixes in 5.1 and Dolby Atmos by Steven Wilson accompany the visual upgrade. Additionally, a companion live album will be available on various formats starting May 2nd, with pre-orders open now.
The newly restored version presents the first full 90-minute cut, combining the 60-minute source edit of the performance with the additional Abbey Road Studios documentary segments filmed shortly after.
The film has been meticulously hand restored, frame-by-frame, from its original 35mm cut negative after being discovered in 'five dubiously labelled cans within Pink Floyd's own archives'.
