As for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, it's been reported that the first trailer will be attached to Wicked: For Good, which hits theaters later this month."

The Super Mario Galaxy Movie is slated for 2026 and the Zelda movie for 2027 as part of a framework for a consistent film release cadence. Nintendo said it will continue preparing for ongoing movie releases and hinted at additional adaptations, with a standalone Donkey Kong movie previously suggested. Nintendo is involved in financing and is deeply involved in production rather than only licensing properties. Shigeru Miyamoto produced the first Mario film and will produce the sequel.
