Marvel Studios is refocusing its future after a challenging period, yet Miles Morales remains unavailable for inclusion in the MCU due to Sony's rights. While Miles is currently a major player in Sony's animated Spider-Verse films, Marvel can only hint at his presence through subtle easter eggs and character introductions. For example, the Prowler appeared in Homecoming, and there are rumors regarding other characters linked to Miles. Even though immediate collaboration is off the table, possibilities for future connections abound, especially with upcoming projects.
After five bumpy years, Marvel Studios finally has a good grasp on its future again. Just don't expect those plans to involve Miles Morales, a next-gen, fan-favorite Spider-Man.
Sony's currently leasing out Peter Parker, now a fixture in Marvel's Cinematic Universe, while retaining exclusive rights to other characters in his world.
As a result, Miles has become a definitive Spider-Man for their cinematic universe, at least on the animated front.
Marvel has been teasing the character for years, from its introduction of the Prowler, Miles' uncle, in Homecoming to a faint Easter egg in No Way Home.
