The cast includes Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba, Ariana Grande as Glinda, and Jonathan Bailey as Fiyero. Colman Domingo voices the Cowardly Lion in the English version. The Swedish dub features openly gay model, actor and singer Andreas Wijk, who gained attention with the 2022 song "If Was Gay" and announced the role on Instagram.
