Death Stranding Movie Could Have Been Directed By Kojima Himself
Briefly

Michael Sarnoski is set to direct and write the live-action Death Stranding movie, with Kojima Productions serving as a producer while Hideo Kojima will not direct. Noah Sacco of A24 reportedly asked Kojima if he wanted to direct, but Kojima is not directing. Sarnoski previously directed Pig and A Quiet Place: Day One and is attached to The Death of Robin Hood starring Hugh Jackman. The film is intended to be more than a direct game translation and aims to appeal to fans and anyone who loves cinema. No cast or release date has been announced. Norman Reedus has expressed openness to returning, and an animated Death Stranding movie is also planned. Death Stranding 2 released in June, Kojima has ideas for a third entry but does not plan to make it himself, and he is working on games OD and Physint. A24 is also producing an Elden Ring movie directed by Alex Garland.
