Nolan wrote Oppenheimer's story, shot in color, in the first person: 'Kitty and I THUNDER along on horseback, climbing a ridge.' Strauss's story is in the third person, in black-and-white.
She seemed to get the spirit of the endeavor, which is a big, chunky movie about a big important piece of American history seen through one particular pair of eyes.
