40 Acres a TIFF success but as they wait to get paid, some Sudbury vendors aren't rolling out the red carpet | CBC News

In a joint letter to TIFF dated Tuesday, Sept. 10, ACTRA and IATSE express their "profound disappointment" that 40 Acres is being showcased while significant payments are owed to employees and vendors, adding that thousands are left unpaid despite huge economic expectations from the film's production.

The items included leaded glass, antique quilts, and a child's wicker rocker, highlighting the film's intent to depict its fictional world with convincing detail. He emphasized how vital timely payments are for sustaining local businesses.
