High-profile signatories include Ayo Edebiri, Mark Ruffalo, Olivia Colman, Tilda Swinton, Javier Bardem, Yorgos Lanthimos, Ava DuVernay, Adam McKay, Joshua Oppenheimer, and Boots Riley. Film Workers for Palestine published the pledge and defined "complicity" as whitewashing or justifying genocide and apartheid, and/or partnering with the government committing them. The pledge covers screenings, festivals, cinemas, broadcasters, and production companies and names several major Israeli festivals as examples.
