100 Nights of Hero is a stylish queer romance set in a fictional medieval land where women's roles are limited to marriage and motherhood. Cherry faces pressure to bear a son while her husband, Jerome, prefers hunting and male camaraderie. A rakish Manfred wagers he can seduce Cherry, but Cherry's handmaiden, Hero, counters by telling stories that distract and instruct. A story-within-the-film follows Rosa resisting a forced marriage. The film emphasizes women sharing stories to save themselves and spark collective resistance. The production features expressive costume and set design and delivers witty dialogue throughout.
