The Smash-Hit Vacheron Constantin 222 Returns in Steel
Briefly

Vacheron Constantin has added a new stainless steel version of its 222 watch, which was first reissued in yellow gold to much surprise in 2022. The yellow gold model reintroduced '70s glamour and was based on the brand's original timepiece created for its 222nd anniversary. The new model, priced at $32,000, maintains the same slim proportions yet marks a significant shift toward sporty, dressy styles in luxury watches, expanding accessibility for collectors and watch enthusiasts alike.
Though suffused with Vacheron DNA, the 222 inspired the Overseas line, a pillar since 1996, it was somehow no less surprising.
At the beginning of January, VC dropped a second 222 in stainless steel. It wasn't what insiders expected, but it signifies the future of high-end watches.
