The 'perfect' man and woman, according to different generations
"'Overall, the research shows that preferences for attractiveness shift from lighter hair in Boomer women to darker hair and more athletic body types in Millennials and Gen Z,' the CREO Clinic explained. 'Men are generally most attractive with inverted triangle or trapezoid shaped builds, while the hourglass figure remains the preferred body type for women. 'Eye colour moves from blue in Boomers to brown in later generations, and wavy hair is typically favoured for men, whereas straight hair is more often preferred for women.'"
"Experts from the CREO Clinic surveyed 1,000 Brits about the physical qualities they find most appealing. And the results revealed how our preferences change with age. According to Boomers (born 1946-1964), the ideal man is 5'7″ to 5'9″ with a classic build, blue eyes, and dark brown hair, while the perfect woman has blonde hair, a button nose, and full lips. In contrast, the youngest group surveyed, Gen Z (born 1997-2012), said they prefer men with an athletic build and women with black hair."
Preferences for physical attractiveness differ across generations. Boomers favor men about 5'7"–5'9" with classic builds, almond-shaped blue eyes, dark brown wavy hair, rectangular faces, button noses and full lips. Boomers favor women with blonde hair, button noses and full lips. Gen Z favors men with athletic builds and women with black hair. Men are most attractive with inverted triangle or trapezoid body shapes, while the hourglass figure remains preferred for women. Eye-colour preference shifts from blue among Boomers to brown in later generations. Wavy hair is typically favored for men, and straight hair more often for women.
