GmbH Spring/Summer 2026 Imitation of Life
Briefly

GmbH showcased its Spring/Summer 2026 collection, 'Imitation of Life', during Berlin Fashion Week. The event opened with silence for Gaza victims. Designers Benjamin Huseby and Serhat Isik conceptualized the collection, addressing the challenges of living authentically amidst global turmoil. The presentation was divided into three acts, accompanied by Walter Schumann's music, deeply exploring themes of resilience and hope. It revisited childhood and life’s events amidst despair, aiming to embody joy despite the surrounding horror and moral decay. The collection seeks to reflect humanity and connection in a world marked by suffering.
The collection was masterfully divided into three acts, each interspersed with the haunting strains of Pearl's Dream from Walter Schumann's Night of the Hunter.

This collection is not about cruelty, death or destruction. It's a collection that reflects a process of working and living through a time defined by the most abject forms of horror.
How can we continue to live, love, and retain our identities amidst the world's challenges?
