Nadine Ghosn, a jewelry designer and watch collector, has transformed her Rolex President into a unique piece by customizing its dial and hands. This creative endeavor led her to collaborate with Wristcheck’s CEO Austen Chu, allowing her to share her personalized design approach with a broader audience. The collection, praised for its unique hands representing creativity and rule-breaking, aims to redefine watch customization. Ghosn's project exemplifies a shift in perceptions around tasteful customization, marking an innovative move for both her brand and the industry.
The reason I focused on personalizing the hands is that it's different and challenges what is usually done when customizing a watch.
Typically, customization is frowned upon because it's often not done tastefully, with the right craftsmanship, and the watch simply doesn't end up looking good.
The pencil symbolizes the idea that we are constantly writing our own story with every decision we make.
This collaboration was the first time Wristcheck had partnered with someone outside the traditional watchmaking world to customize components.
