American Airlines has launched a new nonstop route to Madrid, forecasting a significant increase in trans-Atlantic travel, making Spain a prime summer 2025 destination.
American's senior vice president of network planning noted, 'In '23 when people saw this demand to Italy and Greece, some speculated it was a one-year thing. But... our flights are full and the yields are strong.'
With tourism figures in Spain expected to hit 90 million international travelers by the end of 2024, the growth trend is set to continue into 2025.
