Tottenham midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur received a seven-game ban and a £100,000 fine from the FA for using offensive language in a Uruguayan TV interview.
The punishment stems from a remark where Bentancur suggested South Koreans 'all look the same'. He apologized, calling it a 'very bad joke' on Instagram.
Son Heung-Min accepted Bentancur's apology, stating: 'He made a mistake... We are brothers and nothing has changed at all. We're united...'
Despite the ban for English club football, Bentancur can still play in European competitions, including upcoming matches against Roma and Rangers.
