The San Jose Earthquakes has officially reached an agreement with Cruz Azul for the transfer of goalkeeper Emmanuel Ochoa, signaling a significant step in his career.
Ochoa, who is only 19, has a promising future ahead after being a product of San Jose's academy and receiving a $2 million transfer fee.
Despite limited exposure with the Quakes' first team, Ochoa's talent is evident, having made 48 appearances with San Jose’s reserve team and representing Mexico at the U20 level.
The Quakes are currently navigating a transition in their goalkeeper lineup, with Daniel holding the starting position and the recent acquisition of Earl Edwards.
