Tanner Tessmann is set to sign for Lyon, with a €7 million transfer from Venezia, after he had already agreed on personal terms with the club.
The signing of Tessmann comes even as Lyon needs to sell €100 million worth of players to meet financial regulations, showing a significant commitment to investment.
Tessmann, who made 20 Serie A appearances last season, was integral to Venezia's rebound to Serie A, contributing seven goals and three assists.
At just 22, Tessmann is promising for both Lyon and the U.S. men's national team, holding two caps since his debut in January 2021.
