France international Kylian Mbappe, through his investment firm Coalition Capital, has taken over Ligue 2 side Caen by acquiring a majority stake, replacing American investment fund Oaktree. This move represents a strategic development for the club and Mbappe's investment is estimated at around 15 million euros.
Pierre-Antoine Capton, the current president of Caen's supervisory board, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership with Coalition Capital, highlighting the unique assets the investment brings to the project. The acquisition coincides with Mbappe's potential La Liga debut for Real Madrid against Real Mallorca, following his free transfer from PSG.
