Former player Robbie Savage appointed head coach at Macclesfield while Emile Heskey joins in an unspecified role. Savage previously served as a director of football at the club after its reformation in 2020.
The club made a unanimous decision to offer Savage a senior role to prevent him from leaving. Peter Band has been brought in as Savage's assistant. The club narrowly missed promotion last season.
