A man was found dead in the water during a swimming test at the CrossFit Games in Fort Worth. Lazar Dukic, a 28-year-old Serbian, had been swimming in Lake Marine Creek; the cause of death is yet to be determined.
The highly intense fitness program, CrossFit, attracts hundreds of thousands of participants worldwide. The competition began in February, with the finals scheduled in Fort Worth. Don Faul, CEO of CrossFit, expressed deep sorrow over the athlete's death.
