Ferdinand: No way back for Rashford at United
Briefly

Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has declared there is "no way back" for Marcus Rashford at the club after manager Ruben Amorim questioned Rashford's commitment and training effort. Rashford has not appeared in a match since December and is reportedly eyeing a move to Barcelona. Ferdinand emphasized that any player criticized strongly by the manager would feel embarrassment, and returning to the team would signal that others could also lessen their commitment without consequence. Ronaldo's extensive career at United includes numerous successes, but recent events have put his future with the club in jeopardy.
For someone to question your application, to question you giving 100 per cent for the team, saying you're lacking effort and taking shortcuts, that's a damning comment.
If I was the player the manager said that about, my heart, my pride, my ego -- it's embarrassment. There's no way back for Marcus after that.
If he did come back that means other players can take their foot off the gas and have a way back into the team and take shortcuts.
I would love to sit across the table from Marcus and ask him if Amorim's comments are true, as they are very serious.
