Briefly

Physical activity is a preventive factor for type 2 diabetes, but its timing and consistency (in contrast with overall sum of physical activity) has been relatively unexplored.
It has been shown that midday-afternoon but not evening physical activity is associated with a lower risk of mortality compared with morning physical activity, but the relationship with type 2 diabetes remains understudied.
