Microsoft has introduced its European cloud sovereignty initiative, Microsoft Sovereign Cloud, which guarantees that customer data will remain within Europe and abide by EU legislation. This new offering encompasses three options: Sovereign Public Cloud, Sovereign Private Cloud, and National Partner Clouds. The Sovereign Public Cloud will be accessible through existing European data centers, enhancing core services like Azure and Microsoft 365. Furthermore, the Sovereign Private Cloud caters to needs for on-premise control, ensuring data residency and business continuity through Azure Local and Microsoft 365 Local integrations.
