Swebal, a Stockholm-based startup, is set to construct Sweden's inaugural TNT factory since the Cold War, backed by a €3mn investment. Located in Nora, the facility is projected to produce over 4,000 tonnes of TNT annually, addressing significant ammunition shortages within Europe. The initiative, supported by several prominent investors, is designed to strengthen European defense and close critical gaps in local explosives production, especially highlighted by stark comparisons to Russia's much higher production capacities.
