Visa invested in Replit to embed Visa commerce infrastructure into developer tools for AI-built applications and agents. Visa Intelligent Commerce integration is planned so developers can initiate secure transactions and accept payments through Visa’s global network without leaving their workflow. Visa already uses Replit internally for prototyping and development, with more than 1,000 Visa employees using the platform. Replit is exploring agent participation in Visa’s Trusted Agent Protocol registry to identify Visa-trusted agents that can transact across merchant and service endpoints on behalf of consumers. Visa and Replit are also studying machine-to-machine and agent-driven payment experiences for high-frequency, low-value service-to-service transactions.
