No Western companies have applied to return to the Russian market, a top official says
Briefly

Dmitry Medvedev, Russia's Security Council deputy chairman, confirmed that no Western firms have formally sought to return to Russia. This revelation contrasts with recent discussions fueled by speculations from the Trump administration about easing tensions. Medvedev noted that many Russian businesses have successfully filled gaps left by departing Western firms, indicating strong market adaptations within Russia. Both Medvedev and President Putin have expressed that a return would involve complex negotiations and that there would be consequences for companies that abandoned the market.
No one has officially applied yet, only informally testing the waters so to say," said Dmitry Medvedev, indicating the lack of formal applications from Western companies to return to Russia.
Our companies have taken many niches by now, well done to them. New expertise, new production sites, and even whole sectors appearing amid sanctions have emerged," Medvedev stated, highlighting the adaptations of Russian businesses.
