Bouygues Telecom and Free are set to join the Aduna initiative, launched in September 2024, which aims to promote and sell network APIs globally. This venture includes top telecom operators and Ericsson, with a focus on enabling developers to innovate with common APIs. Partners include major global telecom companies, and the initiative aims to unlock innovation across industries in France and beyond. The first network APIs, SIM Swap and Know Your Customer, are expected to launch in France in spring 2025, marking a significant step for digital identity verification.
The consortium believes that network APIs are at the centre of a new era of opportunity for the telecom industry, empowering developers to create use cases across multiple sectors.
Aduna's developer partner platforms include Google Cloud, Infobip, Sinch and Vonage, emphasizing a strong collaborative ecosystem for innovation.
