Escape Raises $18 Million to Automate Pentesting
"Security teams are outnumbered and drowning in siloed, manual processes. In a world where code is written and attacked at the speed of AI, this cannot continue. We are building Escape as the offensive security engineering platform to solve that problem at scale."
"Escape aims to automate the entire offensive security lifecycle with AI agents that continuously discover, test, and fix vulnerabilities directly within workflows. The company's platform automates attack-surface discovery, security testing, and remediation, ensuring systems continue to operate while vulnerabilities are identified and fixed."
Escape, a Paris-based offensive cybersecurity startup founded in 2020, announced an $18 million Series A funding round led by Balderton, bringing total funding to over $23 million. The platform automates the entire offensive security lifecycle using AI agents to continuously discover, test, and fix vulnerabilities while systems remain operational. Escape currently serves over 2,000 teams globally. The new investment will enhance the platform's AI capabilities, particularly in application logic reasoning for agentic pentesting, and support expansion of engineering and go-to-market teams across Europe and North America.
