Cologne-based aedifion, a proptech firm, has raised €17M in an oversubscribed Series B led by Eurazeo. The funding aims to propel aedifion's mission to enhance building energy efficiency using its AI-powered platform. Established as a spinoff from RWTH Aachen University, aedifion addresses the energy emissions challenge, as buildings contribute 36% of Europe's greenhouse gases. The platform manages around 500 buildings, optimizing HVAC functions, reducing costs, and cutting CO2 emissions by up to 40%, demonstrating significant potential for environmental impact throughout Europe.
With this investment, we are supporting aedifion's mission to make buildings smarter and more energy-efficient. Their scalable platform is the easiest solution for asset managers.
Buildings currently account for approximately 36 per cent of energy-related greenhouse gas emissions in Europe. aedifion can reduce building operators' CO2 emissions by up to 40 per cent.
